The North West Ambulance Headquarters – located in Estuary Park, Liverpool – plays a vital role in ensuring the North West Ambulance Services provide round-the-clock support to a population of over 7 million people across the North West.
The building is in use 24/7/365 and all emergency 999 calls come through the call handling system in the building.
At the start of 2021, three natural gas-fired Ferroli Boilers failed within the building and the NWA HQ appointed our maintenance team to provide temporary heating and design a replacement package.
As part of a drive to lower C02 emissions and find more sustainable solutions, we successfully removed the existing gas-fired boilers, and installed replacement back-up boilers as well as a new Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP).
